The African Development Bank (AfDB) has announced its collaboration with Veritas University, Bwari, Abuja, designating it as the Centre of Excellence for Computer Coding for employment in Nigeria.
This move, disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Hyacinth Ichoku, signifies a significant milestone in the institution’s journey.
At a press conference highlighting the university’s achievements, he emphasised the key role of computer coding in the modern economy and hailed the partnership with AfDB as a major achievement for Veritas University.
Prof. Ichoku highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence since its relocation to Abuja in 2014, showcasing various accomplishments that have bolstered its reputation nationally and internationally.
He expressed pride in the university’s faculty members who have engaged in cutting-edge research, published in reputable journals, and garnered prestigious awards for their contributions to knowledge. He also lauded the quality and relevance of the university’s academic programs, designed to equip students with the skills needed to navigate the challenges of the contemporary world.
