The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) sets an ambitious tax revenue goal of N19.4trillion for 2024, building on its record N12.37 trillion collection in 2023.
FIRS Chairman, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, credits effective tax systems and a thriving business environment for the attainable target. Oil revenue contributed N3.17trillion (25.6 percent), with non-oil revenue dominating at N9.2trillion (74.4 percent).
The announcement was made during a strategic management retreat at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
